I am a huge fan of LDY (www.ldavies.com)… Jury is still out on this project though. I can’t tell from this image how ships will pass through, presumably it wont be a problem, but this feels way too large to me. Too solid. Too much intervention to an area that has been separated since the Great Flood. The Bosphorus isn’t really a divide that needs to be “healed” since it wasn’t man made.

Ecological Bridge Corridor for Istanbul | worldarchitecturenews.com
“A dramatic master-plan has been unveiled to build major transportation route bridging the waterfronts of Istanbul to the Asian side of Turkey. The project includes the creation of a 2 kilometre continuous ecological corridor (with eco bridges) which in addition serves as a new urban park for the city. The creation of the corridor will make the area’s biodiversity whole again by linking the mountain and upland ecology to the north with the coastal ecology to the south.”
