guerrilla bike infrastructure!

who can i recruit in chicago to do this with me once spring rolls around?!?

i’m thinking clark st [where the road was re-paved but the bike lanes were not put back in], broadway, lakeshore underpasses…

This is brilliant. Some people don’t fancy waiting for bicycle infrastructure to appear, they get out there and make it themselves. This is film is from Guadalajara, Mexico (as opposed to Guadalajara, Finland, of course) and show a group of bicycle activists doing what needs to be done.

If you don’t habla Spanish then scroll forward to watch them paint bike lane lines, pictograms and a rather impressive bike box. Dressing up like city workers in order to fake out passing motorists.”
